Sept 11, 2001, Washington, DC, United States Smoke and flames rose over the Pentagon at about 10 a.m. on Sept 11, 2002 following the crash of a American Airlines flight 77, from Dulles Airport , The Boeing 757 crashed into the side of the building after beeing hijack by terrorists. Part of the building hit collapsed; The building was evacuated, as were other federal buildings in the Capitol, including the White House. The number of casualties is unknown.
