The WTO ruled Monday , January 28th, 2002, that Canada broke global trading rules by providing cut-rate loans to finance regional jet sales by Montreal-based Bombardier.
Ottawa has 30 days to decide whether to appeal the ruling in what has become a five-year-long trade war between Canada and Brazil over jet sales.
