Canada's Eaton chain near bankrupcy
Montreal. 1999-08-18 . The announce yesterday (Aug 17) in Toronto by Eaton's President ; Brent Ballantyne and by Financial Direction's Chief ; Hap Stephen to close the Toronto warehouse and purchase center is another step towards bankrupcy for one of Canada's older retail stores chain, following the withdrawal of the most potential buyer for the whole chain. This store located in downtown Montreal on Ste-Catherine Street beside the Eaton's shopping Center is one of the few buildings own by Eaton that could be sold to a local clothing chain.
