"The night before we had landed in Seattle just as the sun was setting, with Mount Rainier clearly visible in the distance. The next morning, as we drove back to the same airport, the fog was quite thick. I got out of my car in the motorcade quickly to position myself for this photograph of the President waving goodbye to a few people watching the departure of Air Force One."
