Reactivated -  The NRX reactor at Canada's atomic plant at Chalk River, Ontario, has been reactivated, a little more than a year after it broke down.<br />

This picture shows an aluminum tube containing a rod of natural uranium being lowered into the reactor, one of the last steps in preparing for a start-up. There are 176 such rods in the reactor.<br />
