US Navy Last rites are held for USS Comfort Dead - Last rites are held
for victims of the Japanese suicide plane attack on the USS Comfort 04/28 about 50 miles south of Okinawa. 29 were killed, 33 seriously wounded and one missing when enemy aircraft crashed on the mercy vessel. At the time of the attack, she was operating under full hospital procedure, was clearly marked and fully lighted.
