Private donator Jean Coutu , owner of Jean Coutu pharmacy chain adress the media about his donation of 12,5  Million $ (Can) to the University of Montreal, as part of a  77,5 Million (Canadian) $ biomedical complex , at a press conference today,January 16, 2002 in Montreal, CANADA <br />

Quebec Vice Premier , Pauline Marois  confirmed that the Gouvernement du Québec would contribute $60 million dollars for these<br />
projects.  Finally the Université de Montréal will<br />
provide an additional amount of $ 5 million.<br />
Coutu donation is the largest private donation ever made to a french speaking University.<br />
