Jeremy Searle is well known in Montreal as a staunch defender of the cityÌs heritage. In 1984, he formed the ø lÌaction Montr»al group which successfully fought the construction of an office building that would have closed McGill College Avenue at Ste. Catherine Street. He also led a campaign to save buildings with historic and architectural value from demolition in the Crescent/De Maisonneuve/Bishop/Sherbrooke block.<br />
