On way to Toronto: Tall ships from around the world are at berth in Quebec city this weekend and will sail on to Toronto this week for the Lake Ontario Tall Ships Rendezvous next weekend. It will be a reminder of a time when the lake was full of big windships -- with the biggest of all being the H.M.S. St. Lawrence in the War of 1812. It mounted more than 100 guns; and was among the biggest in the world.
