Flat Iron building and the CN Tower on a smog day The building located at 49 Wellington Street East (Front & Wellington at Church) was commissioned by George Gooderham to house the head offices of his Gooderham & Worts distilling company. Toronto's "Flatiron Building" pre-dates New York's more famous Flatiron Building by a decade. The CN Tower, is the world's tallest freestanding structure on land, standing 553.33 meters (1,815 ft 5 in) tall.
