Two prominent European filmmakers preside over the international jury of the Montreal World Film Festival, . Swedish director Jan Troell, best-known to North American audiences for his Oscar-nominated films The Emigrants and The New Land, and Polish-French director Andrzej Zulawski (Possession, La Femme publique, Fidelity) will serve as co-presidents of the jury for the official competition of the 27th edition of the MWFF. The other members of the jury are: French actress Julie Depardieu, Canadian producer Rock Demers, Italian director Alesandro D'Alatri, Spanish archivist and film historian Luis Gasca, and American film critic Mike Goodridge. <br />

The Festival runs from August 27th to september 7th, 2003<br />
