. Christian Yaccarini holds a bachelor`s degree in Political Science from the Université du Québec à Montréal. After graduating, Mr. Yaccarini worked in community action. With colleagues, he participated in the creation of the Community Economic Development Corporations for Centre-Nord and Rosemont - Petite-Patrie.
In 1995, Mr. Yaccarini founded the Angus Development Corporation (SDA), a social economy company with a mission to acquire and develop the land previously occupied by the Angus locomotive shops. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of SDA, which is now developing the urban business park called Technopôle Angus.
Technopôle Angus is the only business park in Québec that was designed, developed and is managed using an environmentally-friendly approach. This sustainable development approach translates into a diverse range of tangible and fruitful actions, whether they touch the construction and management of the lands and buildings or measures and services put in place for the benefit of the park`s 40 companies, employing some 1,000 workers.
From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Yaccarini was Chairman of the Board of Administrators of the Fonds d'action québécois de développement durable. As such, he initiated the creation of the Fonds d'investissement en développement durable (FIDD), an investment fund that comprises the Fonds d'action québécois en développement durable, Fondaction CSN and Solidarity Fund QFL.
