Freight
This is the way the cargo comes in 1973. In the world of cargo transportation this is the age of the container. This 40-ft. bigtimer is being moved from a ship at Pier 35 in Toronto harbor right on to a waiting truck. It carries up to 35 tons of goods. The container concept came on strongly in the 1960s. A new breed of ships was born; specially designed to carry containers; and many ports are vying to become container terminals. In Canada; most container business goes to Quebec; Maritimes.
