The ferry steamers Curl Curl and Kiandra collided in heavy fog on Wednesday 30 May, 1930. The accident occured at the entrance to Sydney Cove and the bow of the Curl Curl smashed through the partition separating the fore cabin of the Kiandra from the deck.
