Born in El Salvador to Spanish parents in 1951, Imanol Uribe has lived and worked in Spain since 1957. After graduating in journalism he studied cinema and began directing short and medium-length films. He made his directorial debut in 1979 with EL PROCESO DE BURGOS. His filmography includes: LA FUGA DE SEGOVIA (1981), LA MUERTE DE MIKEL (1983), ADIOS PEQUE—A (1986), THE DUMBFOUNDED KING (1991), RUNNING OUT OF TIME (1994), BWANA (1995), EXTRA—OS (1998) and PLENILUNIO (2001),<br />
