Born in Offenburg, Germany in 1967, Anne Wild studied literature, philosophy and art history at the University of Freiburg and acting at the Academy of Music and Applied Arts in Stuttgart. In the mid-1990s she worked in advertising in Hamburg and Berlin, then studied screenwriting and directing. Since 1997 she has worked as a freelance journalist for newspapers, radio and television. She wrote the script for WAS TUN, WENN'S BRENNT? (2002) and directed Afternoon in Siedlisko (2000) and Ballett ist ausgefallen (2001). MY FIRST MIRACLE marks her directorial debut in features.
, LUCIE AUBRAC (Claude Berri, 1997), THE COMEDIAN HARMONISTS (Joseph Vilsmaier, 1997), and two by Tom Tykwer, WINTERSLEEPERS (1997) and RUN, LOLA, RUN (1998). He starred in Roland Suso Richter's hit film THE TUNNEL (2001), winner of the audience award at last year's Montreal World Film Festival, and his most recent film, THE SEAGULL'S LAUGHTER, is also showing at this year's Festival. He represents the new wave of german actors.
