Two prominent European filmmakers preside over the international jury of the Montreal World Film Festival, . Swedish director Jan Troell, best-known to North American audiences for his Oscar-nominated films The Emigrants and The New Land, and Polish-French director Andrzej Zulawski (Possession, La Femme publique, Fidelity) will serve as co-presidents of the jury for the official competition of the 27th edition of the MWFF. The other members of the jury are: French actress Julie Depardieu, Canadian producer Rock Demers, Italian director Alesandro D'Alatri, Spanish archivist and film historian Luis Gasca, and American film critic Mike Goodridge.
The Festival runs from August 27th to september 7th, 2003
